lets talk about it…

Book Club: The Nightingale
Kristin Hannah delivers an absolutely gut-wrenching story of two French sisters during WWII. If you’ve ever had a complicated sisterly relationship, parts of this book will hit you like a punch to the stomach. In school, we studied different perspectives of WWII, but I realized as I read this book that I had never really explored the war from the French resistance’s point of view. And while the characters themselves are fictional, the themes of loss, sacrifice, and survival are very, very real—and you feel that in Hannah’s writing.

Book Club: The Right Move (Windy City Series)
Now, we follow Indy and Ryan’s story- which has a lot of pain, hurt, and settling for less than you deserve. But it also has a lot of love, being shown your worth, learning your own worth, and how to love out loud- even if its the quiet “nothings” that shout it the loudest. Girl, moral of this story: if he wanted to, he would! Don’t settle for less, and don’t ever make yourself small.

Book Club: Mile High: Windy City Series
This is one I definitely did not want to put down, but did not want to finish at the same time if you know what I mean. I absolutely fell in love with the characters and as I neared the end of the book, I just knew I wasn’t going to want to let them go.
